“ My little pup Floki is 12 months old and has been heading out to the farm with Luke since he was six months old.
I love the way Floki’s tail starts waging madly when he sees Luke at the front door and how he runs to him immediately and jumps into his arms. Luke’s love of dogs is evident the moment you meet him and his dedication to ensuring each of the dogs he is caring for has a great day on the farm is proven when Floki arrives home looking relaxed, contented and very happy. I also really enjoy watching the days adventures in the photos and on the video that is posted after the day out.
Even though he is little Floki has made friends and socialises well with all the other bigger dogs which is a credit to Luke’s ability to provide lots of activities and movement.

“ Our boy Brandon has been going to the farm weekly since about 5months of age. From the get go it’s been really important to us to make sure he’s well socialized, especially as he’s such a big boy! In the past we had tried putting him into daycare, but didn’t really like him being stuck inside and found it disrupted his toilet training. Luckily a friend told us about Embark.
We were nervous about him being picked up by someone else but Brandon was immediately comfortable in Luke’s presence and we knew he would be in great hands! Luke took the time to come and meet him at the house first and answer any questions we had.
Since he’s started visiting the farm, Brandon has learned to be much better at reading other dogs. He loves to play boisterously but is also learning to calm down around smaller breeds who might find this behavior a bit overwhelming. He comes home tired, relaxed and sometimes a little bit muddy! We don’t mind at all because we know he has had the best time. It’s great that we can see this ourselves watching the videos and photo’s posted after each session.

Our labradoodle was asked to stop coming to doggy daycare - he was apparently disruptive and barking - something he never did at home. “ Opal was one of Luke's first customers. She is an anxious dog, prone to being reactive when scared or around livestock and is the consummate escape artist. She needs an experienced handler and the right environment to keep her calm and in line. She loved Luke from the outset and he listened to our concerns and immediately understood what she needed. He made sure that he put her with dogs that she got along with and that allowed her to have space. The GPS trackers are a wonderful idea and help Luke to keep track of her movements and keep her safe. It's also wonderful to see the daily videos that show how happy Opal is and how completely unconcerned she is about the horses right on the fence line. We never thought that she would come so far in such a short time. Thank you Embark for all that all that you do! “

“ Henry is our 2 ½ year old Border Collie, Samoyed cross and he absolutely loves his Wednesdays at Embark with Luke and the other dogs. He waits at the front door for Luke and as soon as he hears the Embark van it starts – tail wagging furiously and doing his special Embark Doggy dance. He is so excited. Then Luke appears and Henry practically jumps into his arms. It’s so nice to see how happy he is.
We love that Henry can go somewhere safe, with exceptional care and do what dogs love to do – run, explore, sniff and play with other dogs. He comes home exhausted, and very happy.
Luke’s love of dogs is evident in the care he take of them, his interest in every one of them and the activities he has set up for their day of play. We also love to see what Henry does during his day away, via the videos and photos Luke posts on the Embark Instagram page.

“ We are super impressed with the way Luke and Mariana look after our Little Miss Fluffy Butt (aka Oaklyn). From the moment we met Luke, it was obvious how much he adores dogs and Oaklyn was smitten from the beginning!
Luke made a point of meeting us before the first adventure date, which we really appreciated, and the pick ups and drop offs thereafter have been seamless. “ Our 2 year old Groodle, Willow has been going to Embark farm days since she was a pup and boy does she love her farm days. When she sees Luke’s white van pull up she jumps at the door and is so happy to see him. Whenever I said the name “Luke” it definitely gets her attention.
We recently got a second pup, River the Border Collie, and she loves her days with Luke just as much as Willow.
Having 2 high energy dogs, Luke and his farm days are an absolute blessing to our crazy household. The girls come home, happy, content and exhausted.

“ Charlie absolutely loves her days with Embark. From the very first time she met Luke, I was immediately taken with his calming nature. Charlie is a highly excitable, highly energetic dog but the moment she met Luke, she was calm and looked up at him with the most adoring look on her face.
Charlie goes once a week. And each time, she is exhausted. But in a good way! She is calm and peaceful and sleeps solidly that night. She has grown in her confidence with other dogs and is learning some fantastic manners with other dogs.
But my favourite thing, is seeing the videos and photos of dogs just being dogs. The freedom they enjoy (whilst in a very safe environment) to explore their canine nature is such a pleasure to see. “ Chases weekly day with the Embark crew is the absolute highlight of his week! It’s a big statement as he’s always on the go and leads a very busy life… but Embark days are extra special.
Chase knows it’s his day with Luke and the crew when in the morning I just attach his collar and not his walking lead. He waits a little and then heads to the gate where Luke picks him up. I leave for work and he’s sitting there waiting!!
Those that know me, know that my dog is considered family and there is no way I would trust him with just anyone.
Upon meeting Luke and witnessing his immediate rapport with Chase, I knew that Embark was going to be what we were looking for, for Chase. It provides socialisation, learning and so many amazing interactions challenging him both mentally and physically.
Luke collects and drops off Chase and it all happens while we are at work! It’s a seamless service.

Team Leader Luke ensures that all the dogs undergo a wide range of activities and experiences. Chase returns home in the late afternoon exhausted. He eats his dinner and then goes into his Embark induced ‘coma’ ha! He’s out for the count!!

“ Bernie absolutely loves Embark. He goes once a week and always returns home with the biggest smile and a craving for dinner. For a dog who doesn’t always love the car, Luke’s care and consideration is outstanding which makes Bernie happily leap into the Embark van every week. It is a fantastic opportunity for Bernie to socialise with other dogs, stimulate his busy nose, and learn to share his sticks, balls, and frisbee’s. Bernie has also been able to practice recognising when it is time for a nap to not get too overtired on his adventure. Being able to go to Embark, breaks up a long week of hanging out with Mum at work, which makes Bernie one very happy, very spoilt dog.
